Who is it for?
Many young people will experience emotional difficulties in adolescence and may access services provided by Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health services (CAMHS). Sometimes, the difficulties are more severe and require more support and this is when a referral to an inpatient service like Inspire might be required. The Inspire team work closely with community CAMHS colleagues to support young people to return home and reconnect with their community networks as soon as possible.
The service aims to provide an evidence based and effective service for young people aged 13 – 18 years with severe and complex mental health difficulties. Most young people will attend the service on an informal basis. On occasion, young people are admitted and detained under the Mental Health Act (1993).
